My boys (4.5 yrs and nearly 3) gave me some starwars lego for father’s day so that I can be the bad guys in the great battles that take place in our living room.
I built it and of course they play with it more than me, but yesterday Jacob (the 4.5 yr old) gave me this card:
To Daddy
Thank you for sharing your star wars toys.
From Jacob
How cool is it to be thankful for the little things.

Nice….. My boys are 7.5 and 9.5 (as an aside it always feel funny to write .5 after someone’s age) and, of late, I’ve been stoked to realise that we’ve all become great buddies and can do stuff together as mates.
It’s the little things that generally only parents notice but which make them realise their kids are totally freaking coolest people in the entire world and make them just totally proud of their progeny
And then they start fighting and yelling and perspective returns…..
So true!
That is so sweet – from a Mum with 3 boys (almost 20, 17 and 13 on Wednesday) treasure these moments cause one minute they are playing with lego – we still have Darth Vader in our house – the next they are using all your car polish! still love them though
